Davis Democratic Club Endorses Provenza for Supervisor

SPECIAL TO THE ENTERPRISE

Davis, CA—The Davis Democratic Club is pleased to announce its endorsement of Jim Provenza, Immediate Past President of the Davis School Board and a Special Assistant District Attorney, for Yolo County Supervisor, District 4. The endorsement was by a unanimous vote of the club’s executive board. The position is being vacated by Supervisor Mariko Yamada who is running for State Assembly. Yamada has also endorsed Provenza in the contest to succeed her.

“There is no doubt Jim is the best qualified, and most experienced candidate in the race,”

said Arun Sen, President of the club. “We are united behind Jim as our candidate for County Supervisor because he has demonstrated an ability to lead, especially when times are tough.”

Provenza expressed appreciation for the support. “I am humbled and grateful for the Davis Democratic Club’s backing. I will repay their confidence by serving this county, and all of its constituents with dignity, commitment, and energy.”

The Davis Democratic Club invited both Democrats to participate in the endorsement process. John Ferrara and Provenza were interviewed, and Provenza received unanimous support.
